Things to consider
when making your selection
Coverage refers to the percentage of natural lashes we are covering during a lash appointment. However, this will vary from person to person. If a client has fewer and sparse lashes, we will typically try to cover more of the natural lash to ensure fullness and consistent result.
Thickness refers to the diameter of the synthetic lash extensions we attach to clients' natural lashes, typically ranges from 0.03mm to 0.10mm. The greater the volume, the thinner the diameter of the synthetic lash hair. For example, for mega volume sets, we typically use 0.03mm or 0.05mm synthetic lash hairs and pick up 5 to 10 of these lash hairs to create a 5D to 10D fan. Thicker lashes have more weight to them, so if a client has thin or damaged lashes, we recommend a thinner lash hair. We can achieve the same thickness by using a larger number of thinner lash hairs.
At Glossy Hub, we offer two different options: closed and open fans. The closed fan technique, also known as the 'wet set', involves picking up a number of lashes without fanning them open, creating a mascara or anime-like look. We use this technique for our lite classic, glam classic, and Kylie sets. The open fan technique involves grabbing a number of lashes, turning them into a fan before attaching them to the client's natural lashes. This will make the lashes appear fluffier and more uniform compared to the closed fan technique.
This refers to the range of lengths available for our lash extension sets.
Curl refers to how lifted the synthetic lash extensions are. Our most used curl is a D curl, which is the most lifted set available. However, for a few selected services, we also offer CC and C curls, with C curl being the most natural curl.
Shape refers to the different shapes we offer, usually subjective to the client's aesthetics. Our two most requested shapes are cat eye and doll eye.
We offer a few different ways to customise your lash extensions. The most commonly requested is wispy lashes. Wispy lashes, or anime lashes, involve adding spikes to your lash sets to create a strip-lash effect. This technique adds texture to your lash set and is suitable for those looking for a less uniform set of lash extensions. Keep in mind that the wispy lashes will appear longer than your usual sets because they have to be at least 3mm longer than the base layer of lash extensions to create texture. We recommend consulting with one of our lash technicians to explore the appropriate length.
